We found Mrs. Deal in Nov of 2024 and worked with her twice a week for a year. She took my son from a kindergarten reading level to a 5th grade reading level (he’s in 3rd grade) in that time! We did virtual tutoring once a week and in person once a week. Mrs. Deal was able to identify my sons learning gaps through her assessments. She set realistic goals for him, and he excelled with her process and structure. She’s the most organized person I know! That started to bleed over into other study areas and he ended the first nine weeks with a very low C. He started working with Mrs. Katelynn and she was able to assess his areas of strength but also where he needed a little more help. She helped him develop skills like chunking paragraphs and how to go back into the text to look for the answers. She collaborated with his teachers and reading specialist at school to ensure everyone was on the same page and helping him read to the best of his abilities.
